Honey Badger is a Lush Hidden oasis with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro

We offer a wide range of different accommodation options to suit everyone’s needs.

Our lodge is situated just 6kms out of Moshi town on the Moshi to Dar Es Salaam road.  Our swimming pool and lush, spacious grounds provide guests with a lovely natural relaxing environment.  Our gardens host an abundance of local flora and fauna we welcome you to wonder around and enjoy our colourful plants, our birdlife, our monkeys and our African Leopard Tortoises (we have more than 20!). Our location enables guests to experience rural life and feel more in touch with the country they are visiting.

We offer a range of different accommodation options to suit everyone’s needs.  We have ensuite lodge rooms ideal for individuals, couples and families.  We can also cater for large groups (8+ people) and we have years of experience of putting bespoke packages together.

Accommodation

Single/Double/Triple en-suite rooms

We have nine ensuite rooms that can be either single, doubles or triples. Each room contains a mix of single, queen or king size four poster beds. All our rooms look out into our luscious gardens and many of them have their own private balconies.

Large Family Rooms

We have five large family rooms which can sleep a family of five. These ensuite rooms have a mixture of large four-poster double beds and smaller children’s beds (all with mosquito nets), a four-poster cot can also be provided on request (subject to availability). Honey Badger is a family friendly lodge and we enjoy hosting parents and their children. Please contact us if you have any special requirements for your children.

Dorm style rooms

Five of our rooms are situated in the Old Renju family home. These rooms double up as dorm rooms and can sleep groups of up to 28 people in a bunk bed style arrangement. There are three bathrooms in the house as well as a dining area and outside veranda. There are four small ensuite rooms situated next to the main house that are ideal for chaperones for large groups. Honey Badger has years of experience in organising accommodation, trips and volunteering activities for large groups.

Restaurant

We welcome you to come and enjoy our relaxing bar, lounge, restaurant and pool area. Our restaurant prepares a delicious unique fusion of Swahili and world flavours allowing our guests to not just see Tanzania but to taste it as well.

Mountain Climbing

Honey Badger has years of experience in offering mountain climbing expeditions up both Kilimanjaro and Meru. Having climbed Kilimanjaro several times himself, Joseph Renju ensures that clients climb with the most experienced and friendly guides. Whether you are an experienced climber or a first-timer with a passion for a challenge, we can accommodate for your needs.

Safaris

For many a Tanzanian safari is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we know how important it is to get it right. We tailor make our safari packaged to suit. When people choose to go on safari with us, they are not just getting a tour company, they are getting a concerned friend who wants to be sure everything goes well!

Honey Badger is one of the few cultural centres in the Kilimanjaro region. We offer a wide range of cultural and local activities that enable interested guests to leave the well beaten tracks and learn more about the local area along with its’ cultures and traditions.
